Practice Inspection

As a self-regulating profession, CPA Manitoba has a mandate to protect the public by maintaining and improving the knowledge, skills, and proficiency of its members.

One of the ways in which it fulfills this mandate is through a mandatory program to inspect the practices of CPA firms that offer public accounting services to the public.

Each year, the practice inspection function summarizes areas where standards adherence might be improved. The resulting Focus on Practice Inspection communication serves to encourage firms to assess their own standards to ensure that the deficiencies set out in the communication do not apply to their practices. The communication outlines resources that can be used by firms to help ensure compliance.
